Rules & Regulations

1. Students are required to bring their diaries to the school everyday.

2. Indiscipline of any kind on the part of the student may compel the principal to rusticate him without assigning any other reason. In this regard the school administration does not owe any responsibility for the loss of the student of any kind.

3. The class teacher can sanction two-day leave. Only principal is entitled to sanction a leave of more than two days.

4. Changing classrooms during periods should be done in silence and in a systematic way.

5. Students should come well dressed. The school uniform is to be worn everyday and for all the school functions. Students who are sloppily dressed or not in the complete uniform will be sent back home.

6. Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Sikh boys must wear a patka.

7. No shouting or whistling is allowed in the school premises.

8. Students are expected to care for the property of others as well. This includes school property and the belongings of other students. No student should dare to damage anything like furniture and other articles. Writing or scratching on walls is strictly prohibited. Damage occurred accidentally should be reported to the office at once. Such a damage will have to be made good by the one who causes it.

9. Students are advised to keep their classrooms, school building campus very neat and dispose off leftovers or waste in the bins only.

10. The school is not responsible for goods lost by the students. So the students, in their own interest are advised not to bring costly things like expensive watches, fountain pens, gold chains, rings etc. to the school.

11. Students who come to school under the protection of their companion, in case of delay , should report to the security in charge.

12. Those who go home alone should be prompt in returning straight to their home.

13. Students are advised to deposit the articles found in the school premises with their class teacher or the in charge.

14. C.P.S. students should observe polite standards wherever they go, they should always remember that the school is judged by their behavior when they meet outsiders. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences.

15. Students are not allowed to use office telephone without the permission of the office in charge.

16. Since it is a co-educational school, it is expected that students behave in a manner, which brings a good name to the school community and do not indulge in any antisocial activity, which is not approved by society in or outside the school.

17. Parents and guardians are not allowed to visit their wards or teachers in the classrooms, without the permission of the principal. As far as possible, once a child has come to school he\she should not be asked to come on half day leave or leave from any period.

18. Students should get their report card signed from their parents\guardians within two days of the receipt of the report card.

 

 

19. Students must not miss any teaching session, games or any activity period whether there is a teacher in the classrooms or not. The time table in charge has been directed to make alternate arrangements in case a teacher is on leave on a particular day.

20. C.P.S. provides education from nursery onwards. Therefore it is expected of the juniors to show respect to their seniors.

21. No students shall indulge in any of the following practices :

  1. Spitting in or near the school building.
  2. Disfiguring or otherwise damaging school property.
  3. Smoking.
  4. Any form of gambling.
  5. Consuming drugs or intoxicants except on prescription by a registered medical practitioner.
  6. Rowdyism or rude behavior.
  7. Violence of any kind.
  8. Casteism. 
  9. Communalism or practice of untouchability. 

22. The observance of rules of discipline of the school and good behavior is an essential condition to a student’s continuance in the school. In case any student violates the school rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline, strict action, like expulsion\suspension\rustication shall be taken against the student.

23. Using unfair means in the exams is the worst possible offence committed by the student. A student indulging in this unholy practice would be rusticated from school and declared failed in the exams.

24. There should be absolute communal harmony among students.

25. All the students are expected to arrive in time. Students who arrive late habitually may be sent back home.
